Accomplished Bible teacher of 27 years with the emphasis on apologetics, doctrine and theology, Ed was asked to help catapult the Bible department at the newly started Big Valley Christian High School in 2001. He formed a discipleship curriculum that would prepare his students to impact the marketplace by using the Bible as a foundation and a simple tool called the Four Basic Questions (4Bq's). Since 1991, Ed has had the blessing and responsibility as a Pastor, Christian educator and soccer coach to train, equip and send out over 1000 students into the marketplace to purposely live out their faith in a world looking for hope. For twenty-eight years Ed also served as a soccer coach for high school and city recreation. In 2016, after eleven seasons, Ed retired as the head coach of the Lady Lions since its conception in 2006.
Ed is seen as a self starter who likes to think out of the box to reach others and provide opportunities for spiritual growth. A skilled communicator as a pastor, teacher and soccer coach, Ed is characterized as a hands on leader who has the love for the Lord and enjoys equipping others to lead. As a pastor, high school teacher and coach, Ed not only has the opportunity to teach, but to pour into his students, parents and church members lessons he has learned as a follower of Christ for 38 years.

"Ed continually pours himself into his students with both love and accountability that will enable them to move beyond the walls of any school to stand firm in their faith, be ready to give an answer for what they believe and, regardless of where they go, to impact the world for Christ." -Joanna, Central Valley High School, English Teacher
